Choosing the Right Service: Interim, Full, or Major?
Confused about which car service your vehicle needs? Our guide explains the difference between Interim, Full, and Major services to help you choose.

A Guide to Car Service Packages: Which is Right for Your Vehicle?
One of the most common questions we receive at our Chester garage is: "Which service does my car actually need?" To provide clarity and value, we have designed three distinct tiers of maintenance, ensuring you only pay for what your vehicle requires based on its age and mileage.
1. Interim Service (From £149)
Designed for high-mileage drivers who may cover more than 12,000 miles a year, the Interim Service is a 50+ point inspection. It is recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles. We focus on:
- Essential oil and filter changes.
- Vital fluid top-ups.
- A robust tyre and brake check to ensure safety between major intervals.
2. Full Service (From £249) – OUR RECOMMENDED CHOICE
This is our standard annual maintenance package, involving a 60+ point inspection. It is a more detailed check-up than the Interim, including everything mentioned above plus an air filter replacement and a comprehensive brake system review. It is the perfect choice for most drivers in the Chester area to maintain their service history and resale value.
3. Major Service (From £299)
For maximum protection, our Major Service is a 70+ point inspection recommended every 24,000 miles or two years. This is our most extensive option and includes:
- Spark plug or fuel filter replacement.
- A full brake fluid change, which is often overlooked but critical for stopping power.
Bonus for Chester Motorists: Book any of our service packages and you can upgrade to a reduced MOT for just £35.
